A little about Passion.

" It's something everyone wants in their lives. I don't know if it's because we have that ideal of something exciting happening to us in our daily and normal life, but I find myself wanting some adventures and it can be a little dangerous for the heart and body, because you reach a point where you'll do things you wouldn't thought you would, just for a little adrenaline, a little rush, that feeling that makes you realize you are alive and makes you feel aware of every nervous ending in your body. Passion is a powerful thing. It's everything that truly matters.

And why? Why settle for less? It's okay to want more, to crave more, because at the end of the day is that feeling that makes all the difference in the world."

What society wants.

Society decides what's good, what's acceptable or what isn't. Today I want to talk about social parameters.

We want it or not we are part of society, we are part of a community or group of people and each one of those people have expectations or parameters they are going to put you through to be accepted into that specific group. Society works like that, they tell you is okay being who you are and say what you feel, and later make you feel bad because you have your own opinion about certain topics. And it not only goes with society itself, it goes the same with governments, relationships, everyone seems to think is okay to make you feel that you can say the truth and even feel bad If you don't, but the moment you are brave enough to say it out loud you're screw, because that's the point. They expect you to act how they want and yet want you to be yourself which is completely impossible and stupid.

So, don't  follow others path, others beliefs. Make you own, be your own and know that that is the the way to go.

Humans of NY.

This week I had the pleasure to find out a new page thanks to my sister, I had no idea of its existence, and I am kind of obsessed with it right now.  The name is Humans of New York., is a great page where the guy takes pictures of people around NY and below there are little pieces of these people, like pieces of their soul.

I will tell you why I like it so much. First, Wao! New York has so many different people that is so shocking and yet amazing, I just love how different everyone is, and it not expected any less because is an island with 9 million habitants. I just think that what he does is great (is the greatest thing), and even though it might sound ridiculous to you, it isn't. He doesn't only take the picture, he takes the story which makes all the difference in the world, anyone can take a picture, not everyone can capture the essence of the moment, the feeling and most of all, the story. I admire that he takes the courage to ask strangers about their happiest or saddest moments.

They are the people of New York, each one with a personality: the extravagant guy/girl, the romantic, the bad boy, the former bad boy, the intellectual, the rebel, the kid, the old guy who has been forgotten, the old couple, the young couple, the family.... they all hold something important.

It makes the difference. It really does. Because you learn the most important of all: We might been from other countries, we may have different beliefs, gods, sexual orientation, hobbies, interests, but above all we are humans with stories in us.

“It's a smile, it's a kiss, it's a sip of wine ... it's summertime!”

It's officially summer  and the things we have in mind are endless, and so are the possibilities, if we let it be.

We are alive. Do I need to say more? because I don't think I have to. Summer is here and we are getting ready to have a great time, and we should. Beaches,  friends and memories are waiting to be made. Remember that not time repeat itself, we are lucky we have today and friends who are pretty awesome, so thankfully that's all we need to make amazing memories. Let's have the time of our lives, shall we?

even the stars
are whispering to each other.”

I miss...

I was one of those people in high school that said “ I am not going to miss high school, only the people in it” but today I must say that is not the case.

I miss how the most difficult part of school was waking up early and the best part was to see my friends. I miss how the worst drama was a girl from other class talking behind your back and how problems seem so huge but were so silly. I miss the shared smiles, jokes and good times we had. I miss that.

Everyone has taken different directions and now we all have bigger responsibilities than ever before, we are constantly moving forward and not stopping for no one because life doesn't stop for anyone and we have learned that the hard way. But even thought everything has changed I am glad that today we are in our way to get where we want to be in the future.

And even though things have changed and I miss old times, this new time is great, yes, it has its problems and downs, (lots of downs) and tears, but let me tell you something: it's all worth it, because when good times come and being able to do things that before you weren't, that's pretty am

azing.  I just hope that today we do the things we can because we won't always have today and we won't always be young and full of opportunities.

I've realized.

I realize that the moment is today. That the people who surround you today are the people who will shape your future and your present. I realize that The moment that passed and the memories you lived and the money you spent in these wonderful adventures that life is, are everything.

Today I've realized so many things, hope is not too late.

There is nothing as enjoying your life, as living to the fullest, getting crazy and live, because we don't know what tomorrow might bring.

Travel, take pictures, hug, love, say, feel, think, take chances, and surround yourself by wonderful people, people who are just so good that you miss them even when you don't see them just for a day, because let me tell you my friend that people are everything. They shape us, and make our lives more interesting and bearable when the sad moments hit us.

Realize that today we are able to do many things that in a future we wont be able to do, so don't regret the choices you made, or the memories or the trips, remember they are all part of you now. Discover. Find. Explore.

I Believe.

Dear Friend,

I believe people can do extraordinary things. I believe people can show love even when all they feel is sadness. I believe in good acts as much as I believe in bad ones. I believe in power, in an act of kindness of stranger, I believe people changed for good or bad, I believe some people are meant to be as much as other are meant to be apart. I believe in crazy stupid love, in fun, I believe in world peace. I believe that some people hurt us because they don't know how to love, I believe in real passion, the one that seems to matter more than anything. I believe that sometimes doing what you want is not enough.

I believe in family, in values, I believe in moments of haven on earth, I believe that is possible to love someone and hate them at the same time. I believe in evil, in bad people, in karma, in hell, in heaven.

I believe in right and wrong, I believe that all we do in life will eventually affect our future. I believe in friendship, in honesty,  in a God that watches everything we do and cares about us, I really do. I believe in so many things, good as bad.

The Importance of Reading.

Today I’ve decided to talk about the importance of Reading.

Reading  is a multifaceted process involving word recognition, comprehension and fluency. DO you think Reading is important?

Even though you may think that is not important, you have no idea how wrong you are. Reading is more than just analyzing words, is more than understanding, the essential is living the words as you read a book, leaving yourself behind and start exploring and living another person’s live and experiences. Through reading you are able to live thousands lives and say or do things that in real life you would never do.

Reading allows you to learn, and acquire knowledge that you would never thought it existed. It gives you the opportunity to become a bigger person in every sense of the word. Words can stick into our mind like ideas, that inmediately you have them in your head is almost imposible not think about it. Words are experiences, roads, lives, moments, happiness, sadness, emotions, they are everything.

“Family is family no matter what” I just love that quote, because it has a big weight. Family is the people you fight with, the ones that make you so mad that you say things that you never thought you would, or make things you thought you would never do, what I mean is just that they are the people who can turn you into a freak, yelling and screaming. But that’s not all, they are also the people who are there when everyone else has disappeared, they are the ones that support you when you need, they love you unconditionally no matter what, even if they say they don’t (especially little brothers/sister) they do love you, because “family is thicker than blood” that quote has its reasons.

Don’t get me wrong; when you have friends in your life, it’s freaking awesome, but nothing like family. In my opinion they are the people who truly count. But of course every family is different and there are cases when family are just the worse. All depends.

New Year !!!

Happy New Year. It’s 2013 and it still feels like 2012, nothing has changed, yet we all hope in our hearts that this will be our year, we have big hopes, big dreams, we say to ourselves that this will be the year that everything will change; the year of love. We set our minds free and wild just thinking all the things we’ll do this brand new 2013.  It’s incredible how we think that just a new number on the calendar will erase or will change something in our  lives, because it won’t, at least not magically, we need to learn that for things to change, working is necessary to get the outcome we want. I’m not saying this to be a pessimistic, I just want be realistic.

2013 is already here and the possibilities are infinitive, we have the choice to do or not do, to say or not to say, to let go or to hold strong, to move on or to stay behind, the choice is up to us. This New Year won’t erase or change the things we did, but it can give us the opportunity to make new decisions we didn’t have the courage to make in 2012, now is the moment. As one of my favorite writer said: “Don’t ask permission. Do it in 2013, and regretted in 2014”.
